Safety Workshop Conducted at City Electrical Division Shimla

Shimla: A dynamic safety workshop was successfully held at the City Electrical Division in Shimla, conveniently located near the High Court. Under the guidance of Er. Tanuj Gupta, Senior Executive Engineer, the event fostered a spirit of collaboration and vigilance in safety practices. Active participation was observed from all Assistant Engineers, including Er. Devinder Kanwar, Er. Lal Singh, Er. Vipin, Er. Pankaj Pal, and Er. Nikhil Barwal. In addition, Junior Engineers and field staff associated with the City Division joined in, along with representatives from HPSEBL employees’ and technical unions, reinforcing a united commitment to maintaining high safety standards across operational areas.

The workshop featured a concise yet impactful discussion on essential safety protocols and standard procedures. Er. Tanuj Gupta passionately underscored the critical importance of adhering to safety norms, particularly in field operations where the potential for risk is heightened. Attendees were reminded of the necessity for constant vigilance and rigorous compliance with the latest safety guidelines set forth by HPSEBL and the Central Electricity Authority (CEA).

Enhancing the workshop experience, a visually engaging presentation showcased practical demonstrations and expert guidance on the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits. Participants were also trained in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), equipping them with essential skills to effectively manage emergency situations.
