Shimla: Union Science and Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh while addressing a press conference in Shimla said that Congress is a party which has misled the people of the country for 75 years. The reality of such a deceitful party has been known to the public and this is the reason why today people have completely rejected the Congress. BJP is the only good option with the people for governance and public welfare. He said that the double engine government has brought all around balanced development to Himachal Pradesh, be it AIIMS at Bilaspur, PGI Satellite Center at Una, 6 Medical Colleges, Bulk Drug Park and Medical Device Park, all these achievements have created new opportunities for employment and investment in Himachal. In the last five years, an investment of Rs 41 thousand crore has come in Himachal Pradesh. Due to the efficient leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India is emerging as a very important country and power centre in the world.

He said that at the center, Prime Minister Modi dedicated the world’s largest health insurance scheme Ayushman Bharat to the people and on the same lines, the Himcare scheme in Himachal has been implemented by the Jai Ram government in the state, which is an excellent example of the work of double engine government. Taking care of the health of women and to protect them from serious diseases caused by smoke, the Center has distributed free domestic gas connections to 1 lakh 38 thousand women in Himachal under the “Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana”. Similarly, Himachal Government has given free domestic gas connections to 3 lakh 35 thousand women under “Grihini Suvidha Yojana”. The government of Double Engine together spent Rs 165 crore and distributed 4 lakh 73 thousand free gas connections, making Himachal the first state in the country where gas could reach every household making the kitchens smoke free and improving the lives of rural women.
The Union Minister said that in the next 25 years, the Himalayan states are going to have a special contribution in the development of the country. For this,
massive efforts are being made to provide better health, infrastructure, employment and better investment in hilly states like Himachal. Which is possible only from double engine government. So that the important contribution of states like Himachal in the development of the country can be ensured in the coming years. Talking in the context of Himachal elections, the Union Minister said that with the collective efforts of the party in the state, the Bharatiya Janata Party would return to power and the practice of changing the government by rotation in the state would end.
Talking on the Old Pension Scheme, the Union Minister said that if Congress was so serious on this subject, it could have been implemented during the previous Virbhadra government and we also need to note here that the decision to abolish OPS in 2004 was taken by the then Virbhadra government and now Congress is trying to get political mileage on this issue around the polls misleading the employees , Taking into consideration the all-round development of the state by the double engine BJP is sure to come back to power again as the aspirations of the people have been met by the sensitive approach of the Govt befitting a large cross section of people .
