Loreto Convent Tara Hall Shimla: Junior School Sports Day 2022

Shimla: The VIBRANT Cosmic Bliss – Panchbhuta , the Annual Junior School Sports Day was held on 24/September, 2022 in Loreto Convent Tara Hall, Shimla.The Guest of Honour was Rajesh Sharma I.F.S 2000 Batch Himachal Cadre, who is presently working as Director in Department of Youth Services and Sports Govt. of Himachal Pradesh.
The program began with formal introduction of the occasion by Junior School coordinator Priyanka Sebastian which was followed by lighting of the torch by the chief guest. The welcoming and felicitation of the chief guest was done by the school Principal Sr. Goretti Tirkey.
The chief guest took the Salute of Honour in the impressive March-past by the students of classes 3, 4 and 5. A mesmerizing welcome dance based on the theme Panchbhuta – The five elements of life was presented by students of class 5.
The beautiful backdrop depicting the theme and the events of the sports day was very apt and much appreciated.
The most awaited events started with relay races and an action song by tiny tots of class Nursery who captivated the audience with their beautiful dresses and energy. This was followed by soulful Yoga and powerful Gymnastis by class KG, beautiful Ribbon drill by class 1, colorful Pom-Pom drill by class 2 and Zumba aerobics performed to energetic music by class 3. A melodious song presented by the live band of Junior School was a delight to the ears.
A combined drill including beautiful formation of LCTH by class 2 and 3 on lively music exhibited coordination, spirit of oneness and highest order of love and respect for their school. A well coordinated Dumbbell drill by students of class 4 and a delightful Flower drill by class 5 left the audience spellbound.
The Grand Finale, where the whole Junior School assembled once again in beautiful formation – WE  YOU ,was a visual treat to the parents.
The chief guest applauded the students and the teachers for putting up a great show and motivated everyone to lead a healthy life .At the end Vote of Thanks was presented by the Principal Sr. Goretti. The event concluded with National Anthem. The children were given refreshments and were dispersed in an orderly manner.
This event inculcated teamwork, discipline and
perseverance among the students.
Watching the little ones performing to their full potential was a treat to the parents. Everyone enjoyed the day thoroughly.
