When he saw people throwing priceless things in the lake, he thought that people throw so much money and precious things and jewelry in the lake in vain. Why not take out all the money from this lake and put it in the state treasury and put it to good use. The king also agreed, but the priest and the devotees strongly opposed it. Even after this, the king and the British officers along with their workers started towards the lake. As we walked towards the lake, it started raining heavily. The rain did not allow him to walk a step further. He was forced to stay at Chachiot. There the British officer ate the fruit and he fell ill and got diarrhea. When people told him about the power of Kamrunag, they were terrified. British officer CC Garvet had to return and was forced to go straight to England. There Kamrunag came to him in a dream and he started worshiping the deity, after which no British army tried to extract the property from the lake. A few decades ago, a member of a burglary gang tried to stealthily, but after being caught, he went blind again from the same day.

  • Who is Dev Kamrunag

There is also an incident in the Mahabharata, it is said that after killing a Ratnayaksha warrior, Krishna had hung his torso in the battle field with the flag of his chariot so that he could see the war of Mahabharata, but it happened that wherever Ratnayaksha’s face rotated, the Kauravas and The Pandavas’ army started running away from his shout out of fear. On this, Krishna requested him to remain neutral in the war so that the Pandavas would win the war and he would be the revered Thakur of the Pandavas, then Ratnayaksha agreed on this matter. Later the same thing happened and after winning the war Pandavas brought it towards Himalayas by lifting Kardu (in Pitari).

On reaching Mandi at Nalsar, he urged the Pandavas to be taken to a secluded place due to the sound of the land there. Ultimately they took him to Kamarughati and there Ratnayaksha was impressed by the simplicity of a puhal (sheep-keeper) and insisted on staying there. Ratnayaksha told that sheep-keeper and Pandavas that he was born in this region in Tretayuga and I was born with 9 sons in the womb of a Nag Bhaktini woman. Our mother used to keep us in a box and one day the box fell from the hand of the visiting lady knowing that there are snakes in it and we fell into the fire and to save my life I hid here in the Kunwar grass (shrubs) by the lake. Later, when my mother found me here, she named me Kunwarunag. I, the same Kunwarunaag, have become the Ratnayaksha king in this age.
