Chamba : The 26th Himachal Pradesh Children Science Congress was organised at Chaugan, Chamba on 9th December . Dr. Ram Lal Markanda Hon’ble Agriculture Minister Himachal Pradesh was present in the inaugural ceremony, Pawan Nayyar, MLA, Chamba, Vikram Jarayal, MLA, Bhatiyat, Professor Tej Pratap, Vice Chancellor, APG University Shimla, D.S. Thakur, BJP district president Chamba and Hemraj Bhairwa, ADC, Chamba, Dr. Monika, SP Chamba, were also shared the daies.
HIMCOSTE Organised Children Science Congress at Chamba
In the inaugural session Kunal Satyarthi, Member Secretary, HIMCOSTE, emphasized the importance of science and technology for the up-liftment of rural backward areas. He also stated that Govt. of Himachal Pradesh has initiated Vigyan Gram Yojna for the rural advancement. In continuation of the session Dr. Monika SP, Chamba, has also shared her views with the students. On launching of Yuva Vigyan Purskar Yojana-2018, 24 students were awarded by Hon’ble Agriculture Minister, Dr. Ram Lal Markanda.
Sahil Khatna & Vikrant Rewal were the 1st Prize winners of the Yuva Vigyan Purskar Yojna and received Rs.1 lakh while 2nd prize winners Samridhi Sehgal & Pranjal Rana were awarded by Rs. 90 thousand in the form of cheque. On the occasion of 26th Children Science Congress about 25 exhibitions were displayed at Chamba Chaugan where ATC Sunder Nagar, Pollution Control Board Shimla, Forensic Science, Dharamshala exhibitions were the main centre of attraction. Dr. Ram Lal Markanda appreciated the model and exhibitions presented in Chaugan, Chamba by students of 11 districts of Himachal Pradesh.
