Elevator facility inaugurated at integrated Muscular Dystrophy Centre -‘Manav Mandir’, Solan

Solan : A lift facility sponsored by Indian Oil Corporation Limited at Integrated Muscular Dystrophy Rehabilitation Centre under CSR initiative was inaugurated today by Sh Sujoy Choudhury, Director (P&BD), IOCL in presence of Sh Jitendra Kumar, ED & SH, Punjab State Office. President IAMD Ms Sanjana Goyal and Mr.Vipul General Secretary .
This facility has furthermore strengthened the Rehabilitation Centre enabling the muscular Dystrophy warriors to reach out to places in the centre which were difficult to access earlier.
Since muscular dystrophy is a progressive disorder, the sufferers have to face different stages of mobility. While some warriors have to use wheel chair, some are able to walk with various levels of imbalance. Provision of elevator in the centre has increased vertical mobility. Post inauguration, Director Sh Sujoy Choudhury and his wife Smt Shashwati Choudhury interacted with various IMDRC participants and appreciated the efforts put in by all patrons of IAMD towards the cause.
