शिमला: जानें बर्फ के कारण कहाँ यातायात सुचारू तो कहाँ अवरूद्ध…

• उपायुक्त शिमला ने की बर्फबारी में लोगों से एहतियात बरतने व रात में सफर न करने की अपील की

शिमला: जिला शिमला में भारी बर्फबारी के कारण अवरूद्ध सड़कों को खोलने का काम जिला प्रशासन और संबंधित विभागों द्वारा तेजी से किया जा रहा है। उपायुक्त शिमला अमित कश्यप ने आज यहां यह जानकारी दी। उन्होंने बताया कि शिमला ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में ढली-कुफरी, कुफरी-चायल सड़क बर्फबारी के कारण बंद है जबकि ठियोग-शिमला मुख्य सड़क व ठियोग क्षेत्र में अन्य 9 सड़कें भारी बर्फ के कारण अवरूद्ध है। चौपाल क्षेत्र में शिमला-चैपाल सड़क के साथ-साथ 13 अन्य सम्पर्क मार्ग बंद है।

उन्होंने बताया कि रोहडू-खड़ा पत्थर सड़क भारी बर्फबारी के कारण बंद है जबकि रोहडू के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में 26 सम्पर्क मार्ग, चिड़गांव क्षेत्र के तहत 24 सम्पर्क मार्ग व टिक्कर क्षेत्र में 18 सम्पर्क मार्ग भारी बर्फबारी के कारण बंद हो गए हैं। नारकण्डा सड़क शिमला-रामपुर सड़क नारकण्डा के पास भारी बर्फबारी के कारण बंद है जबकि डोडराक्वार में सभी मार्ग बर्फबारी के कारण अवरूद्ध है।

उन्होंने बताया कि बर्फ बाहुल्य क्षेत्रों में हिमाचल पथ परिवहन निगम द्वारा बसों की आमद नहीं की जा रही है जबकि चैपाल के लिए बस वाया सोलन, रोहडू के लिए वाया पावंटा साहिब, रामपुर के लिए वाया बसन्तपुर चलाई जा रही है। शिमला शहरी, ग्रामीण, ठियोग व चैपाल क्षेत्र से विद्युत आपूर्ति सामान्य हैं जबकि रोहडू में रोहडू, चैहारा, टिक्कर और डोडरा-क्वार में विद्युत आपूर्ति को सुचारू बनाए रखने के लिए विभाग के कर्मचारी व अधिकारी कार्य कर रहे हैं। जिला के सभी क्षेत्रों में पेयजल आपूर्ति के बाधित होने की कोई सूचना नहीं है। 

उन्होंने बताया कि विभागीय उपकरणों के तहत जिला में लगभग 23 जेसीबी व अन्य उपकरणों के माध्यम से अवरूद्ध सड़कों के खोलने का कार्य किया जा रहा है। इसके अतिरिक्त डोजर व रोबट् का उपयोग कर यातायात सामान्य बनाए रखने के लिए कार्य किए जा रहे हैं।

उन्होंने कहा कि किसी भी आपात स्थिति में जिला आपदा प्रबंधन सेल के हेल्पलाईन नम्बर 1077 व दूरभाष नम्बर 0177-2800880, 2800881, 2800882, 2800883 पर सम्पर्क कर सकते हैं।

उन्होंने लोगों से एहतियात बरतने व रात्रि में सफर न करने की अपील की।

• Snowfall in most of the district is continuing and many places are witnessing heavy snowfall especially Kharapathar and Narkanda.

Status of Connectivity-
In the district adequate machinery is deployed but road clearence is being hampered by continuous snowfall. Even the roads that are open still have snow thus it is advised to drive cautiously.

Shimla (Urban)
All the main as well as the arterial roads within Shimla Town are clear and open for traffic. Sand spreading is in progress to avoid skidding of vehicles. Morning frost is likely to render roads slippery. 04 JCBs and 01 Robot have been deployed.

Shimla (Rural)
Dhalli-Kufri road is slippery . Kufri-Chail road is blocked. Sand has been spread to make it road worthy.03 JCBs and 01 Dozer have been deployed for road clearance.

Theog: Shimla to Theog road is blocked. 09 link roads are blocked.  01 JCB at Theog and 01 JCB at Matiana have been deployed for road clearance.

Chopal: The main road from Shimla to Chopal is blocked. 13 No of link roads are blocked. 02 L&T, 03 JCBs and 01 dozer have been deployed for road clearance.

Rohru:Khadapathar road blocked. Sand spreading work is in progress. Total 68 roads blocked.  07 JCBs have been deployed at various places.

Rampur: Main road from Shimla to Rampur is open via Basantpur.

Kumarsain: Narkanda road blocked (08-09 inches of snowfall) at Narkanda.08 roads are blocked. 01 robot and 01 Dozer at Narkanda have been deployed for road clearance.
Dodra Kawar: All roads are blocked. 02 JCBs have been deployed.
Status of Buses- HRTC buses are plying within Shimla Urban. In sub-division Shimla Rural, Theog and Dodrakawar Buses are not plying in snowbound areas. Buses in sub-division Chopal are going via Haripurdhar, buses in Rohru Sub-Division going via Paonta Sahib, buses in sub-division Rampur Bushahr and Kumarsain going via

Basantpur.Status of electricity supply- Electricity is normal in Shimla Urban, Shimla Rural, Theog, Chopal, Rampur Bushahr and Kumarsain. 38 DTR Down at Rohru, 07 DTR down at Chauhra and 30 DTR down at Tikker.

Status of water supply- There is no major disruption of water supply in the Shimla town as well as rest of the district.

Status of essential commodities:  Normal and adequate supply of vegetables, milk, bread etc. was maintained in Shimla town and surrounding areas as well as the rest of the district. Adequate stores of essential commodities are maintained in the rest of the District as well. Prior stocks of milk with longer shelf life and powder milk has already been ensured beforehand in cut-off areas of the district like Chopal, places in Rampur, Dodra Kawar etc. along with other essential consumer items.
