Himachal Pradesh Cabinet decision

Dharamshala : The Cabinet in its meeting held here today decided to get conducted an inquiry about the losses  the State exchequer suffered due to wrong decision in excise policy like L- 1D and L-13D  by the previous Government in last two years due to setting up of Himachal Pradesh Beverages Limited (HPBL) and to fix responsibility for the same.

It was also decided that the HP Beverage Limited will be wound up in due course and the old system of whole sale will be restored and the whole sale liquor licenses will be given to the himachalis. The Cabinet also decided to  reverse the decision of last government on excise policy and decided to discontinue the licence in form L-1D and L-13 D.

The Cabinet also decided to withdraw all politically motivated cases instituted by the previous government. It was also decided to increase the procurement price of Citrus fruits viz: Kinnu, Malta, Galgal and oranges under Market Intervention Scheme. The procurement price for 500 MT of Kinnu, Malta, and oranges for B category will be Rs 7 per kilograms, for C category Rs 6.50. For 100 MT of Galgal the procurement price will be Rs.5.50. The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
